Lesson 3: Installing it and signing in with Zoom
Now you will actually sign in. ZoomISO connects to your Zoom account so it can join meetings on your behalf. This is a one-time setup, and this lesson walks you through every click, including the part where you add the app to your Zoom account.
Signing in, step by step
Signing in lets ZoomISO start and join meetings as you, read your display name and account details, and join Zoom Meetings, Webinars, and Events. Here is the full sequence:
- Launch ZoomISO.
- Click the Sign In button.
- A Zoom login web page opens. Sign in there with your usual Zoom details.
- The first time only, Zoom asks whether to add ZoomISO to your account. Click Allow.
- You are taken to a success page on liminalet.com, the makers’ site. From there, open the app using the button on the page. On some setups it reopens automatically.
- If all went well, you are now signed in. Your profile picture appears in the top right corner of ZoomISO.
Granting permissions
ZoomISO uses your camera and microphone in meetings, and your network for methods like NDI and SRT. When your Mac prompts you, grant ZoomISO access in System Settings so these features work. If you skip this, some things simply will not function until you go back and allow them.
What the profile area gives you
That profile picture in the top right is also a small menu. From it you can view your account in the Zoom Web Portal, or sign out of ZoomISO. It is a quick way to confirm you are signed in as the right person, which matters when you operate more than one account.
For business and enterprise users. If your organisation manages Zoom centrally, your IT department may need to approve ZoomISO before you can add it. They can add it for the whole organisation from the Zoom App Marketplace. If your Allow step is blocked, this is usually why, so ask your IT team to authorise the ZoomISO app.
Removing ZoomISO later
If you ever need to disconnect the app from your Zoom account, you do it from Zoom rather than from inside ZoomISO:
- Log in to your Zoom account and go to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage, then Added Apps, or simply search for “ZoomISO”.
- Open the ZoomISO app entry.
- Click Remove.
In short
Launch the app, click Sign In, log in to Zoom, and click Allow the first time to add ZoomISO to your account. Grant camera, microphone, and network permission when asked. Your profile picture, top right, confirms you are in and lets you sign out. To disconnect later, remove the app from the Zoom App Marketplace.
