Recently moved from iOS to Android? But now you’re trying to figure out how to transfer information, especially your WhatsApp conversations to your new Android?
It may seem like you’re in a pickle but thankfully Google has made this process easier with their Android 12 update.
Here’s how to do it
The process of transferring your WhatsApp conversations is simple! All that you need is a USB-C-to-Lighting cable.
Using the cable, connect your iPhone to your new Android device. When prompted, scan the QR code on your iPhone to launch WhatsApp. From here, you will be able to move all conversations, media, and much more to your new Android device.
Google has worked closely with WhatsApp to ensure that this process is secure. According to Google, your data remains protected during the transfer process and no one else is able to access your WhatsApp information and files.
Availability
Currently, this transfer capability is only available on Samsung Galaxy and Pixel devices. This feature will also be available on newer smartphones that launch with Android 12.
